Managed IT support

Helpdesk · Endpoints · Patching · Backup · Monitoring

Defined SLAsMicrosoft 365 Endpoint managementMonitoring

Most organizations do not need a full-time IT department. They need someone reliable to answer when something breaks, and someone diligent enough that things break less often.

Our managed support runs under a written service agreement with defined response times, so expectations are contractual rather than hopeful. For clinics, response targets are aligned to clinic hours — a problem at 8:45am when the first patient is arriving is a different problem than one at 4:45pm.

  • Helpdesk — reachable by phone and email, with defined response and resolution targets reported against monthly
  • Endpoint management — workstation and device configuration, standardised builds, and patching on a schedule rather than when someone remembers
  • Microsoft 365 administration — user lifecycle, licensing, mailbox management and security hardening
  • Backup verification — backups tested, not merely scheduled. Most failed recoveries are discovered during the recovery
  • Proactive monitoring — disk, memory, service and backup alerts so failures surface before users notice
  • Asset and licence inventory — kept current, so renewals and end-of-life hardware never ambush a budget

Co-managed IT

Backup for your existing IT team · Not a replacement

After-hours coverageProject capacity Second set of handsVacation coverage

Co-managed IT is for organizations that already have an in-house IT person or team and need backup, not a replacement. It is a different arrangement from our fully managed service, and a different conversation from the one about whether to hire in-house at all.

We slot in around your existing team: after-hours and weekend coverage so your IT person is not the only line of defence at 2am, extra hands for a project that would otherwise stall your day-to-day support, security tooling and monitoring your team may not have budget or time to stand up alone, and continuity when your IT person is on vacation, sick, or simply swamped.

  • Defined boundaries — what we own, what your team owns, and what's shared, agreed in writing rather than figured out during an incident
  • After-hours and overflow coverage — so nights, weekends and busy stretches are not entirely on one person
  • Security monitoring and tooling — layered on top of what your team already runs, not duplicating it
  • Documentation your team can use — knowledge that lives in a system, not only in our heads or theirs

Cybersecurity

Firewalls · MFA · Segmentation · Backup · Assessment

Firewall designMFA Network segmentationPIPEDA-aware Incident readiness

Security for a small organization is not about buying an expensive product. It is about a small number of controls, configured correctly, and verified periodically. Most breaches we see in small environments come down to the same handful of gaps.

For clinics and professional practices holding personal information, these controls are not optional hygiene — they are how you meet obligations under PIPEDA and provincial privacy legislation, and how you answer a client or auditor who asks.

  • Firewall design and configuration — perimeter security specified, deployed and documented, not left on factory defaults
  • Network segmentation — separating patient or client data, staff devices, guest wireless and equipment that cannot be patched
  • Multi-factor authentication — rolled out across email and remote access, which is the single highest-value control most organizations are still missing
  • Endpoint protection — managed antivirus and detection, monitored rather than installed and forgotten
  • Access control — least-privilege accounts, offboarding that actually removes access, and administrative accounts separated from daily use
  • Backup and recovery testing — designed to a stated recovery objective and verified by performing restores
  • Security assessment — a documented review of your environment with findings ranked by risk and effort, and a plan you can act on with or without us

Hardware deployment & infrastructure

Servers · Workstations · Routers · Firewalls · Cabling

New site buildsRelocations Refresh programsStructured cabling

A deployment is mostly logistics wearing a technical costume. The equipment rarely fails — the sequencing, the user communication and the fallback plan decide whether Monday morning goes smoothly.

We specify, procure, configure, install and document. That full chain matters: hardware chosen by someone who will also have to support it tends to be chosen differently.

  • Servers — specified for the actual workload, configured with appropriate storage, redundancy and backup
  • Workstations — standardised images so any machine can be rebuilt quickly, deployed with data migration and user setup
  • Routers, firewalls and switching — network hardware designed around the site rather than dropped in generically
  • Structured cabling and wireless — planned around the physical layout, with coverage verified rather than assumed
  • Specialist equipment integration — diagnostic and imaging devices connected into practice management workflows
  • Staged rollouts — pilot first, then waves, with a documented rollback path at every stage
  • Out-of-hours windows — evenings and weekends where downtime cannot be tolerated
  • Documentation handover — network diagram, asset inventory and credentials, delivered as part of the job

IT project management

Delivery managementRisk registers Multi-vendorStakeholder reporting

Technology projects rarely fail for technical reasons. They fail because nobody owned the dependency between two teams, or because the risk everyone privately knew about was never written down where a decision-maker would see it.

We provide delivery management for technology initiatives — your own or multi-vendor — with a real plan, an actively maintained risk register, and reporting concise enough that the people who need to read it actually do.

  • Scope and milestones documented, dependencies mapped, and kept current as reality intervenes
  • Risk and issue registers with named owners and a review cadence, not a spreadsheet nobody opens
  • Vendor coordination across organizational boundaries — the space where projects most often stall
  • Change control — scope changes documented, costed and approved before work begins
  • Reporting to the audience — one page for the steering committee, detail for the delivery team
  • Handover and closure — documentation, knowledge transfer and a genuine end date rather than a project that quietly never finishes

Additional capabilities

Available alongside the core four

These are offered as complements to a primary relationship rather than as standalone products. If one of them is all you need, we will usually tell you who else to call.

Microsoft 365 support

Setup, migration from on-premises Exchange or another provider, licensing clean-up, mailbox and Teams administration, and security hardening — conditional access, mail flow rules and MFA enforcement included, not sold as an add-on.

Cloud infrastructure

Azure environments and hybrid setups where some workloads have to stay local. For Canadian organizations with data residency obligations, we design to keep data in Canadian regions where required.

VoIP & business phone systems

Business VoIP selection, number porting and setup for offices moving off legacy desk phones or an aging PBX — configured and supported by the same team handling the rest of your network, so a phone issue is not a separate vendor to call.

Systems integration

Connecting the platforms you already own so data moves once, cleanly, instead of being retyped between systems — with error handling and audit trails so failures surface immediately rather than corrupting records quietly.

Digital marketing for clinics

Google Ads campaign setup and management, and local SEO for practices that want patient acquisition handled by the same partner who runs their technology. Offered to clinic clients specifically, because it works best when whoever runs the ads also understands the booking systems behind them.

Custom software development

Web applications, internal tools and workflow automation where off-the-shelf software genuinely does not fit. Built on mainstream, supportable technology — with source code and documentation belonging to you.

How engagements work

From first call to handover

1

Discovery

A conversation about the problem, the constraints and the budget. Free, and no obligation.

2

Written scope

Deliverables, assumptions, exclusions and pricing model in writing before any number is committed.

3

Delivery

Staged execution with agreed change windows, progress updates, and issues raised early rather than at milestone.

4

Handover

Documentation, credentials and knowledge transfer. Then ongoing support if you want it — not because you are stuck.

Looking for help at home rather than for an organization? See our remote tech support for home users across Canada: computer, Wi-Fi router and printer help for a flat $100 CAD per session.

Which of these is your actual problem?

Describe the situation and we will tell you which service applies — or that none of them do.
